This exquisite, finely detailed statue was made by master Newari craftsmen living in Patan, Kathmandu. It is exceptionally beautiful.The image has been cast in the traditional lost wax method, then finely polished.

Vajrasattva is highly decorated with jewels and ornaments. He sits in the attitude of meditation. He carries the vajra in the right hand and the ghanta in the left, his hands crossed in vajrahunkara mudra, locked in close embrace with his Shakti.
